Yes,
I know the ROS (Raging Otaku Society) site (Modesto, CA's independent
anime fan club from 2000-2006ish?) is offline at this time. It may be
coming back, possibly in a different form very soon.
Why?
1. I relocated the
Raider3.com domain name to go to the nice, shiny new, and bigger
NetworkR3.com server. (I get a gold star for figuring out how to do
that on my own -- with a little help from Google searching, of course!
^_-;)
2. The club more or
less lost steam. I worked, the leadership (Patrick and I) kept taking
off most weekends to do stuff.
3. The greater
availability of translated anime (both commercial video releases and
downloadable/streaming fan translations) more or less made it possible
for fans to view anime in the privacy of their own homes.
4. Oh, social
interaction? Lots more anime conventions, events, gatherings, etc.
So, should we revive
it? Is anyone in the area (Modesto, Oakdale, Ceres, Salida, Riverbank,
other outlying communities) still interested in getting together,
watching anime, talking about stuff, and having a grand old time?
Does
that sound like something you'd like?

The site archive may
be revived here, or new content may appear here very soon. I've got the
time, the space, and I can write. Oh, man, can I write... Content is
king! (or queen! ^_-;)

Did you know I also have a rather overgrown and semi-unfinished web site? raider3.com / networkr3.com
